Dermapen Skin Needling Treatment
Dermapen Skin Needling help restore collagen & elastin through natural healing
Ultra-fine, medical quality needles create 1000’s of punctures to induce a wound healing response. This stimulates production of new collagen & elastin, improving skin texture & quality, giving skin a more youthful appearance, making it firmer & smoother and helps to repair fine wrinkles, acne scars, stretch marks and surgical scars.
How Dermapen Skin Needling Treatment works:
Each of the tiny punctures induces the release of growth factors that begin the wound healing process, stimulating new collagen & elastin growth in the skin. Production of new collagen & elastin production is the aim for all anti-aging and skin rejuvenation treatments.
New collagen production can continue for up to a year so skin will continue to firm and scars & wrinkles will soften more over time.
Numbing cream and a cooler may be used to manage discomfort associated with deeper treatments. Numbing cream is available at most chemists otherwise we stock 2 reputable brands at Eraze. You will need to purchase the numbing cream beforehand and apply at least an hour prior to your treatment for it to take effect.
Post treatment skin appears slightly red & swollen and can be moist & sensitive depending on the depth of the treatment. Skin may feel tight, dry and flaky as healing progresses.
Generally a minimum of 3-4 treatments are required to achieve improvements in skin firmness and texture. Improvement of scars may take 5 or more treatments.
Suitable for fine lines, sun damaged and ageing skin, enlarged pores, acne scars, chicken pox scars and surgical scars (more than 6 mths old), as well as for tightening and smoothing of skin on the face, hands, neck and chest. Safe & effective for all skin types and colours and on all parts of the body.
NOT suitable for those who have active acne, open wounds, infections, dermatitis or psoriasis in the area to be treated, have uncontrolled diabetes, or who are prone to keloid scars or other abnormal wound healing.
